How it works

Find out how searching for jobs and job-matching work, what happens when you apply, and what to expect after you’re shortlisted — including how applying may affect your benefit.

What to expect when you apply for jobs

Once you find mahi that suits you, you can apply online anytime. We ask you about your CV and if you have someone who can be a reference. We also tell you what checks the employer may do before they offer you mahi.

If we put you forward in a shortlist, we give your job application and your CV to the employer. The employer decides who they interview and hire.
